Who's on Top?
After practicing their craft around Louisiana, The Amazing Nuns were at the top of their rock scene in 2006 with two albums released in a three month time span. The follow up album was released in 2008. It was a re-release of The Amazing Nuns. The band's latest album, Don't Matter, joins together dynamic vocals with arena ready rhythms to create an album highlighting rock for a new generation of fans. With standout tracks like "Stay With It," The Amazing Nuns is an essential addition to any music lover's library.
Reviews
Lafayette rock band The Amazing Nuns are great. They're exceptional musicians, they mix styles easily(psychedelic, R&B, classic rock, indie), and they're not afraid to be funny or strange.
They came on like some all-star band that could play for hours and play any cover you threw at them. I was impressed with their love and interpretation of local R&B and blues, especially Slim Harpo. Heartbreaking or gregarious, these guys deserve your attention.

The Amazing Nuns began their sojourn into dreamy musical psychosis in 2006 with the release of their debut album A Perfect Christmas. Cloistered in their secret Carencro hideout, Justin and Paula Robinson have since spiraled down the rabbit hole to retrieve Be My Guest (2006), the self-titled The Amazing Nuns (2008), and their most recent album, Don’t Matter (2009). With an eclectic, experimental style that ranges from hypnotic, syrupy acid rock to postmodern “classic” rock n' roll and Motownesque R&B, The Amazing Nuns are simply doing what they want to do, making the music that they are compelled to make. We just happen to be privy to glimpses into their sublime musical innerverse.
